The g-print program is intended to be used as part of your desktop.
It works like this:

   - The file manager will invoke it g-print when the option "rescan
     desktop devices" is chosen.

   - This will create a number of files in the user's desktop which
are symlinks to the g-print program. Each file represents a
     system printer.

   - The drop action for each one of these files is set trough the
GNOME metadata to be g-print --queue QUEUE_NAME. This allow
     configuration of it.
